GRESSONEY-LA-TRINITÉ
Gressoney-La-Trinité is a village at the foot of Monte Rosa, tourist destination for every season. It has much history in its past and a weird balance between modern tourist centre and old mountain village enriched by typical walser buildings.Heart of the main Monterosa Ski carousel, it hosts on its mountains very important slopes and breathtaking tracks. Staring point for the links with Champoluc and Alagna, even if the area between Gabiet and Punta Jolanda allows you to enjoy a pleasant internal tour.
GRESSONEY-SAINT-JEAN
Impossible not to admire the architecture, the landscape and the fascinating mountain village that lives the present without losing the old charm. It's Gressoney-Saint-Jean with its Walser villages, the 16th Century church, 19th century villas, the Savoy castle with the Mountain Garden, the Alpenfaunamuseum with the trophy and weapons collection, but also the Gover Lake area is good to be visited for fun or relax.
During the winter season you can also ski on the famous Weissmatten slopes, amongs very old stone pines and iced little lakes. The black and professional slope "Leonardo David" makes the Weissmatten sector one of the areas suitable for very good skiers. Many good occasions also for cross-country skiers who have at their disposal a "ring" of 25 kilometres.
